Plan to visit Kimmswick on Saturday, September 15 to experience our second annual
LIVING HISTORY DAY
The Kimmswick Historical Society, the City of Kimmswick, and the Kimmswick Merchants’ Association are planning a fabulous Historical Adventure to celebrate the Jefferson County Bicentennial. Please check back frequently to see what has been added to the program. Here is just a small sample of the events being offered at no charge to our visitors:
Civil War Re-enactment Camp in City Field next to City Hall
Re-enactors and Historical Stories presented at the Historical Society’s Meeting Hall
Old Time Crafts demonstrations throughout town
More activities and schedules to be added later
We are pleased to announce that tours of four private historical homes in Kimmswick will be offered as a part of the Living History Day festivities. There is a fee of $20 to pre-register for the tours, or $25 to register the day of the tours. In addition to access to the four homes, registrants will also receive the Historical Society’s Walking Tour Guide of Kimmswick and a ‘passport’ from Kimmswick merchants with special discounts and offers available that day. Registration details will be published soon.
Please visit the Kimmswick Historical Society’s Facebook page for more information, and to view photos from the Jefferson County Bicentennial Parade on July 21.
