April 3 is Luciana Gladney Ross Day, 2017 marks the Kimmswick Historical Society’s 40th Anniversary, and the 6-month repairs to our Burgess How Log Cabin House are complete.
We are ready to CELEBRATE
Please join us at 7:00 PM on April 3 at the Burgess How Log Cabin House, located on the corner of Third and Elm, Kimmswick, Missouri as we cut the ribbon and rededicate the newly repaired Burgess How. The Kimmswick Historical Society is extremely happy and proud to, once again, be able to share history with you.
At that time, we will also honor Luciana Gladney Ross. Mrs. Ross is the woman credited with saving the City of Kimmswick (over a period of many years) with her generosity and forward thinking.
In honor of her long-time dedication and care of the Burgess How, Ginnie Terry will cut the ribbon officially re-opening the site.
Immediately following the ribbon cutting and balloon release, the house will be open for tours.
Everyone is then invited to our meeting hall (Third and Vine) for refreshments.
